Community Platform
Fit Scene Boston
A community platform for Boston's fitness scene
Fit Scene Boston needed a modern home for its growing fitness community: a public site for discovering studios, events, perks, news, and running resources, plus a CMS and newsletter workflow that made it practical to keep everything fresh.

The Goal
Fit Scene started as a guide for Boston's fitness community and needed to grow into a platform. The site had to serve fitness lovers looking for classes and events, studios and instructors looking for visibility, and brands that wanted to reach an active local audience.
Discovery for visitors
Clear paths for finding studios, upcoming events, perks, news, run clubs, races, and fitness resources.
Editorial workflow
A CMS-backed system for publishing news, managing team content, and keeping high-volume listings up to date.
Operational tooling
Bulk import tools to move data from spreadsheets into structured collections without hand-entering every listing.
Scalable foundation
Infrastructure that could support a real content platform instead of a static brochure site.
The Site
The build pairs a bold, editorial frontend with a Payload CMS backend so the Fit Scene team can manage the content that powers the public experience. Structured collections cover studios, events, perks, races, run clubs, running resources, news, team bios, media, and newsletter subscribers, with newsletter signups integrated into their email marketing service.
Outcome
Fit Scene now has a flexible platform for publishing and maintaining Boston fitness content. Visitors get one place to discover studios, events, deals, running resources, local stories, and join the newsletter, while the team gets a structured admin experience, email marketing integration, and bulk-import workflow built for ongoing growth.
